This is something that has me really excited at the moment, actually. This is technically my first ever real-life blogging experience, and if things to accordingly, I will stay committed to this blog and grow it like it is my child. I will probably still keep my 3 or 4 random journals going and updated as well just because it would feel too weird to go without writing in any of them. I guess a blog is an online diary of sorts. It’s just that I’ve always loved paper and pen. I remember being seven and watching Harriet the Spy for the first time and thinking how cool she was with her little spy journal creepily keeping tabs on her neighbors and what not, and how uncool I was for not having a journal already. In middle school I kept a diary that is literally one of the funniest things I have ever read, because it directly reflects the boy-crazed phase I was going through at that time. It contains a collection of stories that all share a similar plot line: a hot and famous male celebrity falls deeply and hopelessly in love with the main character, a small sixth grader with braces who lived in Texas (so, me, I was always the main character). One of the stories in particular, I believe Nick Carter was my love interest in this one, I remember cringing while reading a part I had written that the newly formed couple “flew back to Hollywood to kiss and stuff”. I physically cringed. Anyways, I guess I can’t be too hard on little me, because the point is that I was writing. I wanted to be a writer, so I wrote. Even today I get an overwhelming sensation that I need to record ideas or things that I hear before I forget them. You absolutely NEED to write this all down, I tell myself. I can’t correctly explain it, I’m sure most of you know what I am feeling though. Hopefully that motivation will keep me updating this thing for you.
